This year we are combining the Florida Afterschool Network (FAN) Public Policy Forum and the Florida Afterschool Alliance (FASA) Conference. This event will bring together hundreds of participants from various afterschool programs. Parents, students, teachers, school and district administrators, 21st CCLC sub-recipients, and those working in or with community-based organizations will be gathering in October for this conference. The full conference will begin on Wednesday, October 5th. The conference will be designed to support programs that are committed to high impact, evidence-based strategies for all afterschool professionals. The conference will culminate on Friday, October 7th with FASA Awards of Excellence.

The Florida Afterschool Network is pleased to announce the upcoming Public Policy Forum on October 4, 2022, in Orlando. The goal of the forum is to bring together afterschool and expanded learning program directors, staff, K-12 leaders, and policy experts to share research-based information and explore solutions for workforce development, career and college readiness, and sustainable funding for out-of-school-time programs. This collaborative and solution-focused event will explore how our state can increase high-quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities for all. This year we are offering this event as a preconference to the Florida Afterschool Alliance Conference at the Rosen Centre Hotel.

FASA Awards of Excellence 2022
FINAL DAYS TO NOMINATE YOUR AFTERSCHOOL CHAMPION!!
Do you know someone that you feel is deserving of this honor? Help us celebrate the Awards of Excellence 20th year anniversary by nominating an extraordinary supporter of the after school child care field for 2022! Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, August 18, 2022.
Front Line – Individual who works directly with children, provides supervision and guidance for children. Also does program planning, parent communication & community involvement. Examples: teachers, group leaders, assistants.
Administrator – Administrator who has embraced and supported the after-school program at their school or site, or in their district.
Supervisor – Individual who supervises/oversees the school-age program at one or more locations. Responsibilities may include program administration, implementation, evaluation, supervision, communication, relationship-building .
Volunteer – Individual or groups who have offered volunteer support .
Special Recognition – Nominee may be an individual, group or organization that fits a unique category and supports afterschool programs, please give complete details.

BASKETS! BASKETS! BASKETS!
Everyone who comes to conference loves the Basket Table and the chance to take wonderful prizes home! This year FASA continues in the tradition.
Basket tickets make great thank-yous, giveaways at exhibit booths, and are a fabulous way to appreciate team members you are bringing to the conference!
There are four options to purchase Basket Tickets:
1) In advance: Look for the basket ticket options and purchase them as additional tickets with your on-line registration.
2) In advance: To keep your basket ticket payment separate from your registration payment, simply return to the Register Now button and purchase your basket ticket options on-line as a separate transaction. (This is the best option if your registration is being paid by a company credit card, and you wish to purchase your basket tickets with a personal card, or if you are registering multiple guests for the conference with one transaction. Each guest may return to the Register Now button to purchase their own basket tickets.)
3) At the conference: Go to the Register Now button and purchase your basket ticket options online.
4) At the conference: Cash will be accepted at the basket table.
Basket tickets purchased on or before Friday, September 30th will be ready and labeled in envelopes for pick-up during registration. Tickets purchased after 9/30/22, will be available at the basket table beginning Wednesday, October 5th.
Drawing is on Friday, October 7th at the Awards of Excellence luncheon. You must be present to win.
