Thank you all for your patience with last week’s decision to press pause on the Florida Afterschool Conference and Policy Forum. Today, we would have been gathering for our last round of workshops and closing brunch featuring an outstanding youth voice panel. Instead, many of us are left picking up the pieces of Hurricane Ian. We know it was the right decision to make and our hearts continue to go out to our friends and colleagues in Southwest Florida.
Given the widespread impact and upcoming holiday season, we have made the decision to postpone the Florida Afterschool Professional Development Conference into 2023. However, we do not want to make these decisions in a vacuum and therefore invite you, as trusted Afterschool and youth development leaders, providers and advocates, to please take a few moments to respond to a very brief survey (linked below) communicating your preferences for future conference dates and times offered by our organization.
